Terms of Service
This Privacy Policy explains how Save & Do (“Save & Do”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the Save & Do mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and profile details you provide when creating an account or signing in with a third-party provider (e.g., Google or Apple Sign-In).
- Content you save: links, videos, images, screenshots, documents, notes, voice notes, folders, and any other content you choose to save to your library.
- Reminders and tasks: reminder titles, dates, times, and completion status you create in the app.
- AI Assistant interactions: text and voice messages you send to the in-app AI Assistant, used solely to generate responses and perform actions you request (such as organizing saves or creating reminders).
- Device and usage data: device type, operating system version, app version, language, crash logs, and anonymized usage analytics used to improve the Service.
- Purchase information: subscription status and transaction identifiers processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store your full payment card details.
2. Google Calendar Access — Purpose and Scope
Save & Do offers an optional Google Calendar synchronization feature. This section explains exactly why we request calendar access and how it is used:
- Why we access your calendar: solely to create, update, and delete calendar events that correspond to reminders you create in Save & Do. For example, if you set a reminder “Meeting tomorrow at 3 PM”, Save & Do creates a matching event in your Google Calendar so you receive notifications across your devices.
- Sync is with your explicit consent only: calendar synchronization is disabled by default. It is activated only after you explicitly connect your Google account and grant calendar permission through Google's OAuth consent screen. You may disconnect at any time in the app settings, which immediately stops all calendar access.
- What we do NOT do: we do not read, analyze, or store your existing calendar events; we do not use calendar data for advertising, profiling, or marketing; we do not share calendar data with any third party; and we do not transfer calendar data to build databases or train generalized AI/ML models.
- Limited Use compliance: Save & Do's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Calendar data is used only to provide the user-facing reminder synchronization feature described above.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including saving, organizing, and retrieving your content.
- To power AI features you invoke: content summarization, screenshot text recognition, library organization suggestions, and reminder creation from natural language or voice commands.
- To send you reminder notifications you have scheduled.
- To synchronize reminders with Google Calendar when you have enabled this feature.
- To process and manage your subscription through Apple App Store or Google Play.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. AI Processing — Google Gemini
Save & Do uses Google Gemini (Google Cloud Vertex AI) as its AI provider. Google is the third-party AI service that processes content you choose to send to AI features. No other AI provider is used.
What is sent, and only when you use the feature that needs it:
- Saved links, together with the title and description read from that page, and the text of notes you write — so the app can write a one-line description and suggest a folder.
- Images and screenshots you save — to describe them and read any text in them, which is what makes them findable by their content.
- Voice recordings you make — to transcribe them into text.
- The messages you send to the AI assistant, and, as context for answering them, your folder names and the titles of your saves and reminders.
- The name of your chosen interface language, so the result comes back in it.
What is never sent: your name, email address, username, account identifier, authentication tokens, device identifiers or location. Requests to Google Gemini carry no field identifying whose content it is.
Your permission comes first. Nothing is sent to Google Gemini until you agree to it on the “AI Data Sharing” screen shown the first time you use an AI feature. You can turn it off, or back on, at any time in Settings → AI Data Sharing. While it is off, no content of yours is sent to Google Gemini at all — including the automatic description and search index written after a save — and AI features tell you that permission is required instead of failing silently.
How the shared data is used: only to produce the result you asked for and return it to you. Google Cloud terms state that customer prompts are not used to train Google’s models. The outputs (descriptions, transcriptions, search embeddings) are stored on our own servers against your account and are deleted with it.
Equal protection by Google: Google processes this content on our behalf as a data processor, under the Google Cloud / Vertex AI terms and Google’s Cloud Data Processing Addendum, which bind it to confidentiality, security and data-protection commitments equivalent to those set out in this Policy. Google may use the content only to return the result you asked for — not for advertising, profiling or training its models — and does not pass it on. We do not send your content to any third-party AI service that does not provide the same or equal protection.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: hosting, analytics and crash reporting providers who process data on our behalf under data-protection agreements, and Google (Google Cloud Vertex AI / Gemini) as the AI provider described in section 4 — which receives content only after you have agreed to AI data sharing.
- Folder sharing: if you use the folder sharing feature, the contents of the shared folder become visible to the email recipients you designate.
- Legal requirements: when required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the commitments of this Policy.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual saves, folders, or reminders at any time. You may delete your entire account from within the app settings; upon account deletion, your personal data and saved content are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Disconnecting Google Calendar removes our access tokens immediately.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to the processing of, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, use the in-app settings or contact us at info@save-do.com. We respond to all requests within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at info@save-do.com and we will delete it.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect data transferred internationally.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services, including Apple App Store, Google Play, Google Calendar, and Google Sign-In. Your use of those services is governed by their respective privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email before they take effect. The “Effective date” above indicates the latest revision.
